Yes, folks, it's true.

Barry White is to adult sex as Norah Jones is to baby sleep. It's remarkable. Lil' Genghis is -good- at sleeping with Norah Jones.

Genghis goes way off the road!

Lil' Genghis loves any sort of ride in her stroller that involves bouncing. She adores anything that's new to her, like a big people-watching venture or a new adventure in nature. And she got two of those three -- not the mall -- when she went to a scenic bridge nearby. Check out her taking in the scene as Uncle Eddie maneuvers her around. (A note: Aunt Amanda isn't in many of these pictures because she was taking most of 'em. Nice work, eh? Tell her so.)

Here we see that Uncle Eddie could have gotten a good running start to knock Uncle Rodrigo off the bridge, but he didn't. Ah, well. Those opportunities are rare and not always obvious.

We've just processed 149 pictures from Uncle Rodrigo, and literally have more than 1,000 to go. Yikes. Lotta stuff, some of it pretty good.

We may not have much time to go through all this, may finish it all in one more sitting, may elect to have Blogger post it periodically rather than all at once, may decide to run around naked in the front yard skipping and singing the chorus to "Bohemian Rhapsody." Note that the camera time and date might have been mis-set, as well as supposedly set for Belgian time. So the date and time are definitely off, maybe by a predictable amount, maybe not. No, we weren't giving Genghis beer at 3 a.m. It was more like 7 p.m., OK?

Holy guacamole!

So just yesterday, Uncle Eddie and Aunt Amanda got their first son, Cousin Oliver, a healthy, energetic young lad. And just today Lil' Genghis met Cousin Oliver. They started jumping on each other, chasing each other, kissing each other, sharing pacifiers (well, he didn't have a pacifier to share, but you get the idea) ... It was really magical. They're such good friends already.

It was a little dark to get good videos of Cousin Oliver, so we'll share some pictures and videos from when (most of us) where outside in Providence, Rhode Island, on a nice overlook of the city. (Aunt Amanda was at home taking care of Cousin Oliver, who can be a (delightful) handful.)

Aunt Melissa and Uncle Rodrigo will be in the air soon, on their way to hang with Lil' Genghis and company. We hope we should be able to post some pictures and videos of their stay and all ...

but the computer that hosts some of our photos and videos is in the guest room, where they'll be staying. Please forgive us if some features of the blog are not accessible, because it means we turned it off so that our guests could sleep, relax, talk and generally make themselves at home. We really care about the health and wellbeing of Aunt Melissa.

Dear Readers,

We've gotten so far behind on our blogging that we haven't even acknowledged the existence of, much less linked to, several blogs being run by people we know.

Finally, for some weeks now, Uncle Joe has actually been trying to run two blogs, on one of which he just announced he's about to begin a new job. Heck, he's going to be working at the very place where dad proposed to mom (three times!). Anyway, the blogs are:

These Movies Go To 11, an apparent reference to Spinal Tap; and

Fitness Geek, in which Uncle Joe chronicles his attempts to be a strong, healthy 4-foot-6-inch guy.

Some of you may be wondering why we didn't mention Uncle Joe's blogs earlier. Well, it would be politically incorrect, and completely wrong, to say we didn't link to Uncle Joe's blogs earlier because he was black. Nope. We did it because he's a ... Hrm. No. We shouldn't introduce any sort of bigotry in this blog. Let's just say ... he's one of the people ... for whom his god would not approve ... of him sharing in a pepperoni pizza. Yes. It's true. He must be Hindu.

Scenic spots

A couple weeks back, mom and Uncle Eddie checked out a nearby bridge, the same one we took Uncle Bernie to. It's a beautiful, scenic spot for photos, and of course there's a long drop below with substandard guardrails, so we may take Uncle Rodrigo there soon, too.
