New haircut, new wheels, new experience on a carousel

First, let's say all this new stuff was taken with a new camera, which then ate two-thirds of the images and video. All hail PhotoRec for saving our bacon! We're sending 5 Euros the author's way -- that's about $2.7 million at current exchange rates, I think. Bless you! Sorry our economy's crumbling and we can't help more.

Anyway, so the new camera took pictures and video of Lil' Genghis trying out a new car and some new toys; getting her very first haircut; and taking her first spin (or two) on a carousel. Pretty cool stuff! And Aunt Cindy was there for all the fun stuff today.

So we've got a load of stuff to get online, just in time to flood everyone trying to catch up with her birthday videos. HA! You guys wanted stuff. You're getting stuff. In short, we've upped our standards -- UP YOURS!

Today is Lil' Genghis' second Easter, of course, which makes dad think of religion. So, let's try this:

Jesus himself could be washing boydog's feet as Durga, a 10-armed Hindu god, pets him. It wouldn't matter. You'd just have to say, "Hey, Chewie. I got a treat," and the little guy would come running. Guys thinking with their stomachs -- it's a common thing in our family.

So all that said ... How come our dogs don't worship our refrigerator? I mean, people open the door and beef or ham appears. That's it. It's like a magical, glorious apparation machine for food. How come dogs aren't worshipping at the gates of heaven, such as it is? Discuss.

Lil' Genghis gets some balls

Lil' Genghis got some balls today, and we dumped 'em in her new swimming pool from Grandma Helena and Aunt Claudinha. Somewhere in there, she started playing with her own little miniature world from Grandma Biziza. Cool stuff, eh?

Well, we're all off our sugar highs, and most folks left last night, with Uncle Bernie and then Grandpa John dropped off at the airport this morning. mom really wants to blog about the birthday party, so dad is just dropping in some pictures from a smaller party from Thursday, her birthday itself, at her daycare center:

Lil' Genghis is officially outside the warranty period, as she's celebrating her birthday today. Her true time of birth was 4:17 p.m. (16:17) on this same date. Let's recap the official celebration of last night:

At 11:58 p.m. (23:58), mom and dad noted that her birthday was close.

At 11:59 p.m. (23:59), mom and dad began mentally counting down the seconds to the birthday.

At midnight, 12:00 a.m., (0:00), we sung "Happy Birthday" to our sweet, dearest Lil' Genghis, holding her close and treasuring a year full of love and joy.

At 12:01 a.m. (0:01), she puked everywhere.

Genghis gets wheels-new, plus some vintage

Yesterday, Lil' Genghis got her first set of wheels -- and boy, was she excited!

It was an early birthday gift for the little lady from Aunt Lelia and Uncle Chris, but mom just couldn't wait to open it. No, really, she couldn't wait. So, she did, and the little lady was thrilled to be driven around before we put the seat belt in. She was thrilled to stop, move forward, move backward and even thrilled to have someone else honk the horn. Take a look:
